Kleine Zalze Vineyard Selection Stellenbosch Cabernet Sauvignon 2008 84 Points
Medium clear, bright, ruby cherry red with slight mahogany rim, no evidence of gas or sediment.
Clean, medium plus intensity, ripe and fragrant blackcurrant, cassis and red berries, ripe strawberries, earthy, loamy soil and dark rocks, generously wooded, sliightly over the top with oak vanillin, cedar wood, musk spice evident, soupcon of nutty / coconutty American oak as well as some charry note.
Dry, medium plus acidity, probably acidified, as it not not fully integrated, new flavours of dark ripe cherries, cassi, savoury basalmic note and lots of tobacco, high alcohol (14.5 ABV), but well balanced, medium plus lenght and medium complexity, now until 2019
