Anthonij Rupert Wines Cape of Good Hope Altima Sauvignon Blanc 2013 95 Points
Elandkloof, one of the newest ward of Overberg district within the Cape South Coast region, a location characterized by fairly high altitude vineyards, by Cape standard's at around 700 m ASL.
This 2013 vintage reveals and impressive brilliance, clarity and precision, rarely found even in the very best Sauvignon of the Cape, perfectly ripe Sauvignon character, yet unshowy in a way with layers of stony complexity, laser like freshness, textured, engaging and intellectual! 30,000 bottles produced, wow.
I would go as far as saying this is the most captivating and finest Sauvignon Blanc ever made to date in South Africa. World class.
An outstanding offering that should be on any serious white wine drinker buying lists.
