Simonsig Cabernet Sauvignon
Saturday, 15 June and Saturday, 13 July 2013
The winter hunt has begun with a five course venison feast at Cuvée, Simonsig’s signature restaurant, in the heart of the Stellenbosch Winelands. Two not-to-be-missed Cabernet and Venison Evening will be presented on Saturday, 15 June and Saturday 13, July 2013.
Cuvée’s venison inspired menu kicks off with a palate enticing springbok biltong soup served with Healy’s mature cheddar soufflé followed by invigorating smoked kudu carpaccio with butter poached potatoes and truffled hollandaise. A verjuice refresher will cool things down before diners can tuck into a mouthwatering slow braised springbok shank with parsnip puree, spinach and hydrated peaches for mains. For the sweet tooth a delicious steamed orange pudding with milk and pistachio ice cream will round off the evening.
Simonsig 2001 Magnum Cabernet Sauvignon will be served throughout the night and guests will receive a 10% discount on all wines purchased on the evening.
Cuvée’s Cabernet and Venison evenings start at 19h00 on Saturday, 15 June and Saturday 13 July 2013 and cost R295 per person. Bookings are essential. Contact Cuvée restaurant at Tel: (021) 888 4932 or send an email to cuvee@simonsig.co.za to reserve your table.
