Book now and seize the opportunity to explore rare vintage gems at special Master Classes at Simonsig’s Vintage Wine Day on Saturday, 24 August, when this landmark Stellenbosch estate showcases a fine selection of older signature wines held back for release at optimal maturity.

Cellarmaster Johan Malan and Winemaker Debbie Thompson will be hosting two Master Classes of vintages dating back to the early 90's – one of the highlights of their inaugural Vintage Wine Day. The Vintage Master Classes are offered free of charge exclusively to festival goers. Taste key vintages of the Cape blend, Frans Malan Reserve, award winning Redhill Pinotage, Merindol Syrah and the Bordeaux style Tiara. These classes will offer interactive vertical wine tastings and will start at 11h00 and 14h00. Only a limited amount of Master Class seats are available, for reservations email info@dnaevents.co.za.

If you prefer a more informal wine experience, there will be plenty of opportunity to taste and buy from a wide selection of Simonsig greats which will be available exclusively at the Simonsig Vintage Wine Day. Other yesteryear wine heroes available on the day include older vintages of Simonsig Pinotage, Simonsig Cabernet Sauvignon and Simonsig Kaapse Vonkel Méthode Cap Classique. As an added bonus, these rare wines will be available at special prices for this day only.

With plenty of food and activities for the kids lined up, there will be something for the whole family. Tickets to the Simonsig Vintage Wine Day are available at the Simonsig tasting room or online at Webtickets at R150 per person. The Vintage Wine Day will be held in the Simonsig tasting room with ample seating under cover in the adjacent Bedouin tent.
