Ross Gower Elgin Sauvignon Blanc 2009 87 Points

Ross Gower Elgin Sauvignon Blanc 2009 87 Points

Clear, day bright, pale straw with slight green tinge, medium concentration, medium viscosity, some CO2 gas, no sediment.

Clean, medium plus intensity, green fig, green grass, lime, gooseberries, artichoke, briny, quartz minerality, no wood.

Dry, with high acidity, medium alcohol (12.5 ABV), freshly squeeze lime, honeyed mid palate, tightfull and textured, hints of peppery spices complexity, medium plus length, medium plus complexity.

From one if not the finest vintage in the Cape, this is a Sauvignon that will reward cellaring up to 2019, though so complex and intellectual now!
