BILTONG AND WINE TASTING AT DURBANVILLE HILLS

BILTONG AND WINE TASTING AT DURBANVILLE HILLS

What would South African hospitality be without a generous helping of biltong? It’s synonymous with holidays, mid-afternoon snacks, rugby, braai and educating international guests. With this in mind the Durbanville Hills Winery has added a new biltong and wine tasting to its offering at the cellar and by doing so, brings two great South African specialties together.
Biltong was most probably the first convenience food developed, originating from the Dutch settlers who sun-dried strips of meat as ready-to-eat sustenance during their treks across the country. And as diverse as South African wines are, so are the various biltong and droëwors varieties. From the intense to the subtle, the selection of Durbanville Hills’ red and white wines complements the taste profiles of the various styles of venison and beef biltong as well as droëwors.
The tastings cost R60 per person and includes Durbanville Hills’ wines matched with a selection of biltong and droëwors. Bookings are essential for groups of six or more. For more information contact Laura Carswell on (021) 558 1300 or by sending an email to LACarswell@distell.co.za
