Fleur du Cap strikes six 90+ ratings in Tim Atkin's SA Wine Report

Fleur du Cap wines clinched no less than six 90+ ratings from accomplished wine commentator and British Master of Wine, Tim Atkin, in his report on South African wines released at Wine Fair (22 May 2013).

With his vast experience spanning 23 years of tasting Cape wines, Atkin’s South African report provides an alternative point of view to the wines from this region. Atkin, who feels “very positive about the future of Cape wine”, tasted more than 700 wines between December 2012 and April 2013 for his report.

Showing remarkable consistency as one of South Africa’s top dessert wines, Fleur du Cap Noble Late Harvest 2010, the 5th consecutive vintage to achieve a 5-star rating from Platter’s South African Wine Guide, now boasts a stellar score of 95 points from this respected wine writer.

Not to be outdone Fleur du Cap’s Laszlo 2008, Unfiltered Cabernet Sauvignon 2010, Unfiltered Sauvignon Blanc 2012 and Unfiltered Semillon 2011 all followed suit with 92-point ratings, whilst the Fleur du Cap Unfiltered  Merlot achieved a score of  90.

Fleur du Cap wines are available at select fine dining restaurants, boutique wine stores or the Fleur du Cap cellar door at Die Bergkelder in Stellenbosch.
