2007 Tierhoek Piekenierskloof Grenache Noir 83+ - 85+ Points
Medium clear, (barrel sample) bright, ruby red with purple rim, medium concentration medium plus viscosity, clean, medium plus intensity with dark ripe cherry note, earthy and stone fruit pip, touch jammy and slight high alcohol burn, complex with hints of violets, reflect the sunshine.
Fresh, dry with good fruit texture, no influence of wood at all, 4 year old barrel, flavours follows through but somehow lack the sweet spot for higher rating, it’s individual, fine bridge between Old world Grenache and new world opulence will express better with food, well made a style to be supported.
Now until 2015
