Simonsig wins two Wine-of-the-Month Club Trophies

Simonsig dominated at the 2013 Wine-of-the-Month Club Winemaker Awards by claiming both the Best Pinotage and Best Chenin Blanc trophies.

The two Simonsig trophy winners are the 2010 vintage of the Redhill Pinotage, for  Best Pinotage, and the lightly wooded Chenin Avec Chêne 2010 for Best Chenin Blanc.

No newcomer to the award stakes, Simonsig Redhill Pinotage 2010 hit the high notes at the 2013 Veritas Awards with a Double Gold medal, and became the 5th vintage to claim its spot in the ABSA Top 10 Pinotage competition last year.

Excelling as one of the top performing cellars at the 2013 Wine-of-the-Month Club Winemaker Awards, Simonsig also received five category awards for Kaapse Vonkel 2010, Simonsig Gewürztraminer 2011, Chardonnay 2011, Aurum Chardonnay 2008, and Merindol Syrah 2008.

The Wine-of-the-Month Club awards trophies annually for the best cultivar wines and honours the winemakers whose wines have been chosen by the Club's independent panellists over the past year.
