The Back Roads Die Perdeskoen Pinotage 2012 93 Points

This has to be one of the most elegant and polished Pinotage, I've tasted in a very long time, impressive purity, tactile, supportive oaking, crunchy ripe tannins, there is a racyness in this offerings an energy rarely encountered in this grape, yet it is full bodied and graceful. Outstanding.

Watch out for those guys of Black Elephant Vintners, a new chapter of excellence in Franchhoek valley is being quietly created,on solid basis of winemaking integrity, which shows across the range, ignore their wines at your peril.
