WINES ACROSS THE SPECTRUM FOR TASTING AT FEAST OF FLAVOURS

Flagstone Winery is open for tastings and sale during both days of the festival.

The new “Feast of Flavours” event at Paardevlei  in Somerset West  gives wine lovers the chance to taste wines from across the price and volume spectrum ranging from on-site producer Flagstone
Wines right through to garagiste products and Checkers’ wine ranges.  The event is on Saturday, 5 October and Sunday, 6 October from 11h00-18h00.

Start off at the wine, craft beer & art meander around  Flagstone Winery, situated in one of the revamped factory buildings and  Sumi Creative Co where an exhibition, “The Art of Flight” will be in full swing. Close by garagiste wineries like Beau Belle, Topaz Wines, Mellasat and Black Pearl as well as Checkers Oddbins will be available for tasting and sale, with food to match.

Black Pearl Wines, will be presenting their wines in the garagiste area next to Sumi Creative Co during the event.

Craft beer fans will pack the wooden benches at Triggerfish Brewery in the old munitions factory and party animals will make sure they secure a good spot in the Global Village to indulge in freshly made national dishes from India, South Africa, Mexico, Holland, Italy, Portugal, Greece and Belgium.  The Checkers Wines of the World range will be for tasting and sale in this area.

Featuring pristine dunes, tranquil wetlands with sweeping mountain views and an abundance of birdlife, visitors will be encouraged to walk and cycle around the area during the festival to access the activity hubs catering for every taste.

Tickets are available at the gates or on-line at www.plankton.mobi at R50 per adult and R25 per child per day.  The charity beneficiaries of the Festival are Cheetah Outreach and Cotlands.
