Kloof Street Swartland Chenin Blanc 2012 92 Points

Current vintage from Mullineux wines, an impressive value from 30+ years old vines Chenin sourced from 2 vineyards one in Paardeberg grown on granite soils and the other in Riebeeck grown on slate soils, showing a pale bright straw with yellow reflections.

Instant seductiveness, not as oxidative in style as in previous vintages, textbook Chenin, Loire profile with perfectly ripe apple and citrus note, acacia flowers, honey, engaging, juicy texture with moderate plus acidity, fresh, precise, textured mid palate, moderate alcohol of 13% abv, lending perfect richness, very sexy indeed, now until 2020. Table friendly.

From 2013 vintage Old Vines will be mention on the label.
Tasted at Wine Cellar trade tasting in JHB.
