Wildekrans Estate Bot River Sauvignon Blanc 2011 87 Points
After tasting the Osiris Sauvignon, there is continuity and a fine thread in this wine reminescent of a 3 year old Pouilly fume, in it's unshowy profile, yet minerally, fresh, delicate and vibrant.
At roughly a third of the price of their Osiris, this 2011 vintage shows a bright pale white with slight green reflections.
Clean, moderate intensity, fine mineral restraint, green lime, hints of papaya salt, pure and delicate, possibly a brush of old oak?
Dry with medium plus intensity, crunchy, mineral follows through, green lime freshness, moderate alcohol of 13% abv, delicately juicy, holding well for a 2 year old Sauvignon, now until 2017.
