Hartenberg Estate Stellenbosch Riesling 2010 82 Points

Pale straw with yellow green reflections.

Clean, moderate intensity, ripe stone fruits, delicate citrus and hints of green pineapples, good typicity from a riper perspective, some stony  character, brush of oak? probably older barrels, subtle with delicate spicy note.

Dry with dash residual sugar, much drier than in previous vintages, nevertheless structured and well balanced, moderate acidity, could do more here for a Riesling, fresh, juicy lemony note, moderate plus alcohol of 13.5% abv, good lenght.

R 135 on the wine lists at La Scala in Montecasino, serious enough to match a beef fillet in creamy pepper and mustard sauce!
