Vina Temprana Campo de Borja DO Old Vines Tempranillo Joven 2011 82 Points
Not in same league of previous vintages (85 points average) it is nevertheless a well made wine and considering the price of R 25 per bottle at Checkers, this is simply unbeatable and overdelivers on quality.
Ruby red with purple rim, clean, moderate intensity, plummy, cherries and strawberries, good purity of fruit, something unmistakably Spanish about it!
Dry with medium plus acidity, fresh and lively with savory notes, focus, delicate extraction, elegant, moderate alcohol of 13% abv a bonus for leisurely sipping, charming.
