Champagne Barons de Rothschild Blanc de Blancs 93+ Points

100% Chardonnay from some of Cote des Blancs signature crus, namely Avize, Cramant, Mesnil-sur-Oger, Oger and Vertus.

Clear, bright, pale straw, consistent perlage.

Clean, moderate plus intensity showing Chardonnay austerity, citrus zest, chalky mineral note, white flowers, almonds, nutty complexity.

Dry, proper Blanc de Blancs style with a low dosage of between 6 g/l, high acidity, precise, linear, focus, full texture with slight hints of honey, generous with pure chalky note follows through, grilled hazelnut, revving with energy.

Well priced for a Blanc de Blancs, the highlight of the tasting that day, 53 months on the lees, with the base cuvee being 2007 vintage. Now until 2033+
