Morgenster Estate Stellenbosch 2006 94 Points

Developed color with dark garnet, opaque centre and brown towards the rim.
Clean, high intensity, captivating notes of ripe black fruits, cassis and blackcurrants, tobacco, delicate smoky note, earthy minerals, spicy, cedary, vanilla note, layered complexity.

Dry, sweet fruited, juicy with moderate plus acidity, fresh and lively, textured and mouth filling, moderate plus ripe tannin, good grip still, seamless integration even though alcohol is very high at 14.5% abv, opulent, complex, persistent lenght, by far the most successful Morgenster Estate ever made and release, even better than 2001!

Drinking perfectly now, yet have stamina, due to huge fruit concentration to last another +/- 8 years, i.e until 2021+
