Deetlefs Estate Familie Red Breedekloof 2005 88 Points

Clear, garnet hue with brown rim.
Clean, medium intensity, very ripe but not jammy revealing cassis, blackcurrant, plums, showing some secondary evolution, moderate plus alcohol though noticeable, only 13.69% abv!, fragrant cedar wood, still quite oaky, with notes of leather.

Dry with dash of residual sugar, good fruit concentration, fresh with medium acidity, elegant, though tannins are starting to dry out, peppery spices, intense, juicy, quite rich and savory black olives note, tobacco, graphite minerals, long and persistent.
Now until 2018
