Yabby Lake, Mornington Peninsula, Victoria “Block 2” Pinot Noir 2010 85 Points

Bright, ruby red, very dark, with brown reflections towards the rim.
Clean, ripe dark red fruits, expressive, mocha, coffee and toast, overshadowing fruit at this stage, but enough concentration to support integration through development.
Dry, rich, glossy, excellent purity with spritz on texture, Pommard meet Gevrey Chambertin like, full, juicy, however very high alcohol of 14.5% abv evident and not totally integrated, bold style, slightly unbalanced, long length, masculine profile, now until 2019+
