Beaumont Hope Marguerite Chenin Blanc 2012 92+ Points
One of South Africa’s finest and best terroir expression of Chenin Blanc from old vines averaging 35 years old, this delicately ripe Hope Marguerite 2012, seems to get better and better every vintages since 2008, being more focus and linear driven with brighter and crystalline profile with impressive purity of fruit, no added noble harvest as make up.
Adding Noble Late Harvest / botrytis wine, even a portion in Cape Chenin Blanc is akin to silicon enhance breast!, Pamela Anderson appeal is so yesteryear! sorry, fake and not representative of the site, leave it to Vouvray producers in their hot and humid vintages! They can’t sort out!!, best keep it natural and firm!.....
Lightly perfume, shows a real sense of confidence, fresh, elegant with tangy notes, need time to fill up and broaden, best revisited in 2016 if you can.
