Had this bottle on Monday night (31/03/2014) for my sister birthday at Nobu, One and Only Cape Town, reason of choosing a red wine with Japanese influence food was simply because there was no white wine drinker at the table!!
A gamble? Not really, since the Grand Classique was 4+ years of age, the tannin's have soften, it worked surprisingly well and was in fact very supple certainly aided by the umami flavors and did not clash with the soy sauce, a must try indeed.

Alcohol: High | 14 %abv
