It is always intriguing to see Pinot Noir
evolutions from a well respected and established producer, especially
considering 2007 vintage across South Africa can best be qualified as above
average,yet quality driven estate such as Paul Cluver, always have a trick up
their shoulders and this is showing a subtle yet confident development with
garnet and brown reflections towards the rim, layered bouquet, showing aged
character, nevertheless still perfumed, good fruit concentration on softly
textured mouth feels, delicate and fresh, probably at peak now, yet will easily
remain on this plateau for up to 3+ years from now
