After checking the evolutions of 2009 Chenin
Blanc in the cellar these past few days and fearing that they are not holding
well….. I was re-assured when coming across this Wellington Chenin Blanc that
was still as fresh as a daisy, albeit positive bottle evolution which have turn
the texture into a seamless creamy, salty note, pure and delicate, still lots
going on there.
I always found Lazanou organic wines when well
made have the aptitude to developed in bottle and this one hits it on the nail,
make the effort and seek out what is probably one of the smallest Chenin
producer around, and Wellington best kept secrets, 2009 vintage yielded only
225 cases, bet there is none around now, but who knows! cheers
