Pork & prawns Shaomai

Shaomai or Suimai is litlle parcel of coarsely hand minced fresh pork, prawns and spring onions, season with nuoc nam and wrap in wonton sheets and steam for about 20 minutes, it is super tasty and yummy, perfect anytime as a light meal, best served with red chilli paste and wash down with a glass of South African Chenin Blanc.

One can find ready made frozen Shaomai in good chinese stores around Gauteng or go to Shun De or Long Men in Cyrildene china town, they make very good ones especially during week ends Dim Sum "specials"
