Christina Van Loveren Robertson Cabernet Sauvignon 2009 86+ Points

www.vanloveren.co.za

Medium clear, bright, cherry red evolving toward garnet on the rim.

Clean, high intensity, ripe Cabernet fruit, excellent purity, intense blackcurrant, blackberries, cassis, currants and blackberries with hints of leesy complexity, earthy mineral core, high alcohol noticeable though (14%) not fully integrated, burned sensation, generous oaking, probably a high percentage of French oak lending vanilla, spicy cedarwood, pencil shavings, graphite, multilayered complexity, bar the the alcohol vapour, otherwise very smart aromatics indeed.

Dry, savory, full bodied, Cabernet austerity and structure evident, ripe moderate plus tannin, medium plus acidity, fresh, high alcohol follows through, delicate red fruit structure, crunchy, chiselled, fine fruit purity and oak integrated, medium plus lenght and medium plus complexity.

Now until 2020+
