Antebellum Naturally Fermented Swartland Syrah 2012 92 Points

Bright ruby red with purple rim.
First impression is Southern Rhone in a glass, leaning towards Chateauneuf.
Clean, moderate intensity, perfectly ripe plums, cassis, subtle stony minerals, spicy, Szechuan pepper, neutral oak.

Dry, savory black olive note, Provencal herbs, rosemary, good tannic grip, lending a great structure along with the moderate plus acidity keep the wine fresh and focus, further accentuating the mineral profile, alcohol is indeed near perfect at 12.5% abv, in fact fantastic for Swartland reds, super table friendly, now until 2020+
