Savour fine Holden Manz wines at Wine-Style Summer Wine Party

Friday, 15 to Saturday, 16 March, Simon’s Restaurant at Groot Constantia

Taste the refreshing 2012 Holden Manz Rosé and the flagship Holden Manz Big G 2010 at the two-day Wine-Style Summer Wine Party taking place from Friday, 15 to Saturday, 16 March at Simon’s Restaurant at Groot Constantia when renowned estates from all over the Winelands bring out their ‘Best of the Best’ for you to enjoy.

Composed of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon and 50% Cabernet Franc, the Big G 2010 - a full bodied, well-structured Bordeaux-style blend with excellent ageing potential - flaunts an intense concentrated red centre with a bright, ruby red edge. The nose reveals an explosion of blackcurrant, mulberry, plums and chocolate flavours, backed by hints of vanilla and cigar box, supported by pronounced black pepper and spice. The elegant flagship boasts firm, ripe tannins that are backed by good, balanced acidity, with a mid palate full of dark fruit ending in a long, lingering finish.

The Holden Manz Rosé 2012 has a beautiful salmon pink, peachy tone with subtle nuances of fresh strawberries and cherries and hints of minerality. This blushing enchantress is composed of all four red grape varietals grown on the Holden Manz estate - Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Shiraz and Cabernet Franc.

The relaxed, informal Wine-Style Summer Wine Party takes place on 15 March from 16h00 to 22h00 and 16 March from 12h00 to 22h00.
