De Waal CT De Waal Stellenbosch Pinotage 2009 59 Points and 85 Points!

Bright, ruby red with purple rim.
Two scores here a 59 Points simply because I picked up traces of band aid character and Brettanomyces which for some consumers will be acceptable and probably enjoyed hence the 85 points based on the structural complexity of the wine, nevertheless I reckoned any traces of bacterial spoilage should be looked into for future vintages!

Old fashioned style, fruit purity shadowed by the band aid note, delicately ripe plums, primary, touch of VA, sanguine complexity, old oak influence.

Dry, fresh and elegant with moderate acidity, delicate extract with moderate tannins, spicy texture, drink now.
