Tullie Family Vineyards The Yair Darling Sauvignon Blanc & Semillon 2009 84+ Points

Tullie Family Vineyards The Yair Darling Sauvignon Blanc & Semillon 2009 84+ Points

Clear, day bright, straw with green reflections, medium concentration and medium plus viscosity, no evidence of gas or sediment.

Cleanm medium plus intensity, asparagus, lime, gooseberry, waxy green pears, dried fig, high pyrazine, dusty granite minerals, subtle oaking, probably French oak.

Dry with medium plus acidity, medium plus alcohol, new flavours of green peas and grapefruit zest, mineral core follows through, integrated oak, fine depth with medium complexity and lenght, now until 2016.

The grapes come from Lanner Hill farm in Darling, in my experience and based on consistent track record, one of best Sauvignon Blanc vineyards in Darling district on the Cape West Coast, example to support this evidence is Kumkani Lanner Hill Sauvignon Blanc, one of South Africa's ageworthy and top notch Sauvignon and regular award winning wine.
