Warwick The First Lady Western Cape Unoaked Chardonnay 2012 89 Points

Clear, day bright, pale straw with green / yellow reflections.

Clean, lifted aromatics, ripe lemon, citrus zest, green melon, stony white fruits such as peaches, apricot, hints of honey, stony, jasmin floral, well defined.

Dry with dash of residual sugar, full texture, creamy, leesy complexity, fresh and vibrant, good energy, richness follows path of 2011, with juicy orange "pulp", high alcohol though (14%) otherwise a very well made unoaked Chardonnay, persistent.
Need +/- 3 months to integrate, perfect summertime Chardonnay. Now until 2017+

Great versatility to a broad variety of dishes, for a simple and perfect lunchtime match, try it with a chunky crumbed Camembert, croutons, Mizuna, wild rocket, honey and mustard dressing.
