Terra del Capo Coastal Region Sangiovese 2009 89+ Points

A fine example of how locally grown Sangiovese can express themselves, it is also one of the wine with the most improvement in recent vintages, less extraction , moderate and perfect alcohol hovering around 13%abv, fresher with crunchy cherry and cranberry note, the use of 500L barrels lends just the right spiciness, yet it is unmistakably Sangiovese, not a Chianti in style but closer to Morellino di Scansano DOC with similar kind of fruit thickness and tasty character, a must for any local Italian eateries, will be a far exciting offerings than the usual suspects of Bordeaux grapes!

What use to be a hard sell is not anymore, in the last 2 years it is doing very well by the glass.
