Kleine Zalze Cellar Selection Western Cape Chardonnay 2011 85+ Points

Clear, day bright, pale straw with yellow reflections, medium concentration and medium viscosity.

Clean, medium intensity, delicate citrus, honey, camomille, floral, quite Macon like, no wood? or perhaps very old neutral barrels, complex layers with lots of personality here.

Dry with medium plus acidity, probably acidified as not yet fully integrated, broad and creamy, fresh, full bodied, rich style, fresh pears, green fleshy pineapples, leesy complexity, high alcohol though (14%), could well have achieve higher ratings, considering how promising the nose was! Nevertheless for it's price point of under R 45, it overdelivers, good glass of Chardonnay.

Now until 2018.
