Lazanou Organic Vineyards Wellington Syrah Mourvedre 2009 90 Points

Clear, bright, dark ruby red with purple rim, high concentration, high viscosity.

Clean, high intensity, dark ripe plums, blueberries, very ripe grape, but not raisin, complex earthy note, complex spicy medley of cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, black pepper, cured beef, subtle oaking lending delicate vanilla, light toast, mocha / cacao, dark chocolate.

Dry with medium plus acidity, full bodied, crisp, juicy, savoury with black olives in brine note, fresh, elegant yet powerful and mouth filling, wild berry, lively almost zesty rocky character, savoury, high structural complexity, long spicy length.
Combination of French and splash American oak.
Only starting to open now, will be better in -/+ 4 years, now until 2022+.

From organic www.fr.sgs.com/organic 75% Syrah and 25% Mourvedre grapes, miniscule production of only 1111 cases
