Orange River Cellars Northern Cape Chenin Blanc 2011 85 Points

Clear, day bright, pale white with slight  green reflections on rim, medium minus concentration, medium minus viscosity.

Clean, medium plus intensity, abounds with ripe tropical fruit note such as guava, just ripe passion fruit, papaya, brush of lime and yellow citrus fruits, hints of bubble gum character, some mineral, very good purity of fruit, delicate, no wood.

Dry with medium acidity, crisp, fresh, elegant, uncomplicated, juicy and round, there is character indeed, low alcohol (11.5%) a bonus, perfect quaffing anytime either as an aperitif or with light lunch, very well price at R 23 retail, so even better price for on trade.
Purchase at Pick & Pay Lonehill.

This is a honest Chenin Blanc, from the unique wine growing region of the Northern Cape.
Now until end 2013
