Experience
the elegance of Fleur du Cap Unfiltered wines paired with indigenous vygies
(succulents) at the Pendock Wine Gallery at the super luxury Taj Cape Town
during the month of November, making its debut on Thursday, 7 November
2013.
Open
from Tuesday to Saturday between 12h00 noon and

superb Fleur du Cap Wine & Salt dinner, designed by guest chef and salt

Inspired
by Fleur du Cap’s close affinity to nature as expressed in the Fleur du Cap
Unfiltered range, botanist Jan Vlok and wine writer Neil Pendock have joined
forces to find the ultimate in pairings for the Fleur du Cap & Vygies

vineyards sites situated in the Cape Floral Kingdom, will be paired with the
indigenous succulents such as Koeispene (Glottiphyllum regium), Haaibekkies
(Gibbaeum pubescens), Sonskynvygie (Drosanthemum bicolor), Spekboom and
Sterretjiebos.
With
a passion for plants since his early teens, Jan Vlok, an Oudtshoorn botanist,
ecologist and naturalist, is known for his contribution to flora conservation
by making botanical science relevant and accessible to the layman through
publications, on radio, television and personal presentations. He is co-author
with his wife, Dr Anne Lise Schutte-Vlok, of Plants of the Klein Karoo.
