Oak Valley OV 2008 79 Points

White blends are generally a winery best wines, as they keep their best fruit for such blends, this 60% Sauvignon Blanc and 40% Semillon, from not a so great vintage, color is still youthful though, reveals an unusually pronounced and atypical character of Riesling, with slight terpene note, on the nose it is developed with peppery, boiled asparagus note, not much primary fruit left, drink rather quickly!
