Glen Carlou Petit Verdot Tannat 2009 92+ Points

An innovative blend from this well established and respected winery, breaking the comfort zones of their classic offerings, this super concentrated and opulent blends, structured with solid tannic frame, I only started to understand the wine on day three after opening and see Arco Laarman intention with this unique combination.
Bright purple with an almost impenetrable centre core, perfectly ripe dark red fruits, oak still integrating, yet we have to remember 2009 was a stunning vintages across the Cape, even more so with the top end wineries.
Surprised your friends and business associates, buy a few cases and lay it down, revisit in 2018+, this has legs for fantastic developments in bottle.
