Moscato Frizzante NV 87 Points

We are seeing more and more local producers releasing a Moscato and it is a category that is doing very well as long as it is not price more than R 32 trade price, the emerging wine market love the style and infact what not to love with Moscato? It is fragrant, fresh, zesty, low in alcohol, i.e perfect anytime and mixes very well with Aperol who is now available widely, this is kind of the perfect summer tipple.
This bottling from Wellington Wines is by far South Africa’s best example of the style, light sparkles, juicy and vibrant, sugar surprisingly in balance, it is great on it’s own or pour in a large wine glass with 3 tots of Moscato, 2 tots of Aperol and 1 tot of Soda Water and a sliced of orange with 6 ice cubes, moreish.

For Manchester United soccer fans, good to know that since 1st January 2014, Aperol Spritz is the official global spirits partner of the club.
