Zonnebloem Limited Edition Sauvignon Blanc
Zonnebloem has walked away with a total of eight silver medals at this year’s International Wine & Spirit Competition in London, with two of these, silver outstanding accolades.
The stars of the silver line-up, earning the equivalent of double silvers for excellence, were the 2009 Shiraz and the 2011 Limited Edition Sauvignon Blanc. The other silvers went to 2010 vintages of the Shiraz, the Cabernet Sauvignon and the Shiraz/Mourvedre/Viognier, the 2009 vintages of the red blend Laureat and the Cabernet Sauvignon, as well as the 2011 Viognier.
“We are absolutely delighted to see how these medals have been awarded so widely across the range,” says international Zonnebloem spokesperson, Deidre Samson. “We take this as affirmation of our approach that quality takes time but excellence a little longer.
We have worked with some of the same growers over many generations and their understanding of our needs, coupled with the experience of our cellar team, produces great results.”
