15/16 months in only 5% new French oak with the balanced in 3rd and
4th fill, only 5500 bottles were produced, with no acidification in
this particular vintage!
Ruby red with purple rim.
Clean, ripe plums, cherries, impressive purity of fruit,
floral, earthy, almond kernel, subtle oaking lending graphite, cedar note.
Dry, savory with black olives and tobacco note, pure and
long, now preferably aerated / decanted prior to service, until 2019, very well
made, but X factor of 2008 vintage missing (92 points).
