Clear, ruby red with slight brick rim.
Clean, medium plus intensity, slightly riper and more expressive of the 2008, a characteristic of the super 2009 vintage with similar purity of fruit, slightly more intense with ripe cherries, blueberries, hints of cassis, orange peel complexity, salty plums, delicate earthy note, subtle oaking, similar profile to 2008.
Dry, fuller, creamier with ripe blackcurrant, currants, cassis purity, medium plus acidity, medium plus ripe tannins, firm and crunchy, possibly higher alcohol, closer to 14% abv ? Need +/- 2 years to integrate, best from winter 2013 until 2020+
