Concha Y Toro Don Melchor DO Puente Alto Cabernet Sauvignon 2007 92+ Points

2007 was the 20th anniversary of one of Chile most celebrated Cabernet Sauvignon, from matured vineyard planted in 1970’s.
Bright, ruby red with slight garnet rim.
Clean, slight reduction / Cabernet austerity initially with aeration reveals, medium plus intensity, still primary red fruits medley such as blackcurrant, cassis and blueberries, hints of prunes, spicy paprika with some leafy / herbaceous character, dark earthy toasty note, generously oaked lending leather, vanilla and cedar wood.
Dry, fresh with firm ripe tannins, primary red fruits follows through, spicy, earthy loam note, tobacco ash, rich and concentrated, yet savory, the alcohol is high at 14% abv, but integrated, long and persistent finished, lifted by the 2% Cabernet Franc!
