Old Cape style, tad soapy, atypical, not much Cabernet fruit, some raisin, spicy cinnamon, rich leathery texture, savory black olives, fresh but extracted lending hard tannins, very high alcohol of 15% abv, one dimensional, disappointing offering at this level of the game from South Africa’s leading Cabernet Sauvignon producer with perhaps the most consistency with this variety, what could have gone wrong here?
