Luddite CWG The Reserve Western Cape Shiraz 2008 90+ Points

Southern Rhone cross St Joseph like, delicate plums, blackberries pure, peppery, earthy, mineral, stony core, juicy, herbal freshness and elegant with dark chocolate, black olives, precise and savory, the very high alcohol of 14.76 % abv though leaves a warm chest, however if the wine is decanted prior to burn off some of the alcohol and served slightly chilled, it’s a very good glass of Shiraz!
50% in French and 50% Hungarian oak barrels for 2 years.
Now until 2021
