Kaapzicht CWG Cape Blend Stellenbosch 2009 59 - 84+ Points

Reductive initially, ripe raisin, traces of brettanomyces evident, masking the dark red fruit, graphite, very high alcohol of 14.79% abv noticeable , animal, meaty, savory and extracted, rich profile, individual and good length.
Here 2 scores 59 Points for it’s traces of Brettanomyces and 84+ Points for it’s underlying structure for those customer that accept that Brettanomyces may be part of a wine.
I personally believe at this level of the game for an auction with high price wine, it is simply unacceptable!
50% Cabernet Sauvignon and 50% Pinotage, 24 months in new French oak.
